Our wonderful resident-artist, Mr. Bill Reid, shared his delightful picture book, Bunnski Goes to Albunnia, with the students and brought us back home (temporarily) from our reading travels.. His story showcased delightful sculptures and engaging photographs created last winter. He shared his creative process for the book and was happy to answer dozens of student questions.
Then, we were jet setting once again - to Moscow this time. We read Rechenka's Eggs by Patricia Polacco and played a matching game with Russian nesting dolls. Exciting travels yet to come in January.
This book is a good story for people who enjoy fantasy and magic. It is a interesting and exciting story in a magical world where creativity is allowed and encouraged. I would recommend reading this book for anyone who enjoyed Harry Potter or other book series with magic.
